The family and I had a busy weekend. On Saturday, we headed over to Campo Di Bocce with another couple so that they could meet Jameson and play some bocce ball. It’s challenging to see how Jameson will handle the new location and if he’ll nap at the appropriate time and duration to make the day work. After our recent NJ trip, I learned that he’s more flexible than I usually think, but it’s still somewhat pressuring to me to plan it out. And especially difficult for me as a person who likes to have a plan and any deviation is a problem. But, Jameson had a great time crawling up and down the bocce ball court and hanging.

Melissa and I, however, were both quite surprised he didn’t like the mac and cheese we ordered for him. We’re thinking he probably didn’t like whatever brand it was. But I must give props to Campo Di Bocce on one thing. Cannolis. They were perfect and by far some of the best cannolis I’ve had anywhere. The filling was perfect and the pastry also perfectly cooked. I was quite impressed. Campo Di Bocce was also nice enough to extend our time for free from the normal 1.5 hours to 3, without charging for it.

On Sunday, we then went wine tasting at Wente in Livermore with another couple who are members there. Again, rolling the dice on how Jameson will nap is my concern, but he woke up super happy and took a perfect nap before we had to head out. It was a nice day out and we got to watch Jameson crawl around the grassy area. He seemed to really enjoy himself exploring the new location. The wine was also typically good and picked up a couple of bottle of their Cab Franc to store.

It was a busy weekend with friends but it was great to have the weather being reasonable and seeing Jameson experience some new things. And Melissa believes we have a new hangout at Campo Di Bocce that works really well for kids and is a fun activity for adults at the same time.
